Abstract

*[A total of 12 species in 6 genera of the poneromorph subfamilies group in Korea was reviewed. All investigated specimens are classified into 3 subfamilies; Amblyoponinae, Proceratinae, & Ponerinae. A total of 6 genera were known with Cryptopone, Hypoponera, Pachycondyla, & Ponera belonging to the subfamily Ponerinae & Amblyopone and Proceratium belonging to the subfamily Amblyoponinae & Proceratinae, respectively. In this study, keys to the all known genera & species of the subfamilies in Korea are presented. A synonymic list, description of a worker & comments on each species are given with SEM photographs of worker.]
