Abstract

A comprehensive understanding of media's rich effects on the mind requires a multimodal measurement approach that assesses self-report, physiology, and behavior that values each domain—on equal footing. Psychophysiology provides theories and measures to study how media affect objective physiological responses and how physiological responses interact with media variables.
