Abstract

Abstrak: This journal discusses the role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in promoting local economic sustainability through the analysis of implementation strategies and the resulting impacts. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach and secondary data from literature studies and case analyses, this research identifies the challenges and opportunities in CSR application. The findings indicate that CSR functions not only as a moral obligation but also as a strategic tool that can enhance community well-being, improve infrastructure, and support local economic growth. However, challenges such as understanding gaps, greenwashing risks, and a lack of supportive regulations must be addressed to maximize the positive impact of CSR. By engaging communities and applying transparent practices, companies can create sustainable value for all stakeholders.
