Abstract

The usage of internet of things has influenced media in our country. Detik.com is one of the news portals online which often visited by users. This research is aimed to describe the position of subject-object and author-reader within news of Vanessa Angel published in Detik.com using Critical Discourse Analysis by Sara Mills. The method used in this research is model of Critical Discourse Analysis by Sara Mills. The source of data is taken from four news of Vanessa Angel in Detik.com. The result shows if the woman is still positioned as stereotype in weak position and become commodity for news media. Woman is also considered as a domestic character. Keywords:
