Clinicopathological profile of AKI in children in a tertiary health centre

Abstract

Background: In view of the magnitude of AKI problem and the changing scenario concerning the age composition, etiological pattern, clinical manifestations and benefit of early detection and appropriate management, this particular study was undertaken to analyse the various aspects of AKI in children in our setup.Objectives: To determine the etiology, clinical profile, incidence & short term outcomes in hospitalized children aged 1 month to 14 years with acute kidney injury (AKI).
