Abstract

Pulmonary thromboendarterectomy (PTE) remains the treatment of choice for patients with operable chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH). It is a technically demanding operation that offers patients with CTEPH improvements in survival and quality of life. In this article, we describe the operative technique of PTE in detail.
