Abstract
Dextrocardia is the term used as a rule for the cardiac abnormality where the heart is located in the right half of the chest and the apex is oriented towards the right side. The author describes dextrocardia of different types in five children, in two with situs viscerum solitus, with D- and L-transposition of the great vessels, in three with situs viscerum inversus, with D-, L-transposition and with inverted great vessels. He draws attention to the importance of ECG and X-ray in the diagnosis of dextrocardia.
