Abstract

Based on the bubble and condensation point method, vapor-liquid equilibrium data in salt solutions have been measured at atmospheric pressure for the systems methanol-ethanol-CaCl2 and iso-propanol-water-CaCI2. For the former system, the relative volatility of methanol to ethanol was decreased by the salt effect of CaCI2. For the latter system, the azeotrope could be eliminated by increasing the concentration of CaCI2. © 1971, The Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan. All rights reserved.
