Abstract
We report on three patients with late hip replacement infection. the micro-organism was microaerophilic Streptococcus viridans, an oral organism, in all patients. Dental procedures had preceded the onset of the hip infection in all cases, and severe periodontal disease was observed on subsequent admissions. © 1985 Informa UK Ltd All rights reserved: reproduction in whole or part not permitted.
