Abstract
Surface displacements due to a fault model in a semi-infinite medium are obtained in the near field. Final solution can be found only by evaluating definite integrals. It is shown that displacements due to a moving dislocation can also be obtained by evaluating similar definite integrals. © 1972, The Seismological Society of Japan, The Volcanological Society of Japan, The Geodetic Society of Japan.
