Abstract

One new species each of Brachysporiella Batista and of the previously monotypic genus Ityorhoptrum Kirk, namely B. biseptata and I. natalense, are described and illustrated from collections made on decaying wood in Natal Province, Republic of South Africa. Both taxa have the essential characteristics of their respective genera, although differing in some notable degree from the type species thereof.
