Abstract
The research objective is to improve student learning activities by applying the Constructivism Approach. The indicator of the activity variable is the way students learn after participating in learning using a constructivist approach and the variable student learning outcomes are the results of tests and observations carried out. Learning increased from 67.65 to 75.33, an increase of 7.68. It can be concluded that learning using a constructivist approach can increase the activity and learning outcomes of students in the mathematics study program at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. So it is expected that lecturers can use constructivism approach in the lecture process.
