Abstract

The social actors of this study declare to know the genesis of the changes produced during the andropause. They express "diminution of some hormones", "biological decresasing". The knowlwdge of the changes allow them perceive them when they happen "the urgency for ejaculation gets last", "there is a delay in the eretion", "the sexual perfomance and it's potentiality are lower", "we feel or we want to feel less than women in the menopause stage, but there is a decreasing interest for sexual activities". They keep "the reproductive capacity", "they willingness". They gain "moderation", "spirituality", "mutual knowledge", "tenderness", "calmness". The previous assymptions make us affirm that the ariesed changes contraindicate the expectative of the sexual role given culturally to men and in some opportunities man are not prepared to face the situation generated by the biological changes. This process allowed them to restate what they consider like sexual life, and sexual plenitude. It is establish the past (youthfulness) and today (senilness). The past is the time where they only though in sex enjoyment, in having a great number of ejaculations, where the need of plase the couple was necessary, the great need for ejaculating but today when men feel their biological decreasing and sexual decreasing they want to take advantages from many others aspects of sexuality -the ones they didn't pay attention in their youth-these aspects are communiation, tenderness, the pleasure and the partner sexual satisfaction. ?? 2000 Corporaci??n Editora M??dica del Valle.
