Abstract

Language, according to Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas, reflects ontology. This article shall focus on three issues, namely worldview, change and translation, as espoused by al-Attas in Islam and Secularism, Prolegomena to the Metaphysics of Islam, The Concept of Education in Islam and in his CASIS Saturday Night Lectures, (CSNL).
