Modern achievements in the chemistry of carbon dioxide have been considered. When utilizing carbon dioxide in chemical synthesis, two groups of reactions: reactions of carboxylation (carboxyamidation) of organic compounds with carbon dioxide and reactions of carbon dioxide reduction - are supposed to be the most prospective. © 2010 al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
