Abstract
This study aims to determine the teacher's strategy in shaping the character of students in elementary schools. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study are divided into data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The technique of checking the validity of the data is done by extending observations, increasing persistence, and triangulation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the teacher's strategy in shaping the character of students at SDN 7 Limboto, Gorontalo Regency, namely, getting into the habit of praying Dhuha and Dzuhur prayers in congregation, praying before and after learning activities, attending ceremonies and morning parade, create a peaceful classroom atmosphere, accustom students to doing their own assignments, motivate students that they can complete their own assignments, exemplify honest behavior, instill courage, teach about caring, teach about justice, and teach cooperation in class picket activities, clean Friday and in completing group assignments.
