Escorias de alto horno: composición y comportamiento hidráulico

Abstract

This paper presents the state-of-the-art on hydraulic behaviour of the blast furnace slags. It analyzes different aspects such as characteristics and influence of its vitreous phase structure, its chemical composition, mechanisms that rule its hydration process, activators and activating process mechanisms, etc. At the same time, the paper presents results obtained from a chemical and mineralogical characterization of Spanish blast furnace slags.
