Abstract

Energy spectrum measurements of neutrons and gamma rays in various locations in a water vessel have been carried out using a d+T neutron source located at the centre of the container. The experimental techniques used are discussed, and the resulting spectra are compared with those from the discrete ordinates computer code ANISN, and finally the space-dependent absorbed doses of neutrons and gamma rays are evaluated as kerma with the use of kerma factors. The absorbed dose values of this experiment agreed with those of ANISN up to a certain point.
