Abstract

Two studies investigated the relationship bet academic perf and pa. In the first exp it was found that teachers expressed more favorable academic expectations for att students than for unatt students. A fully scored first grade report card with an attached photo of a "first grader" was used to elicit teacher-expectations. The second study examined corrs bet pa ratings and several ach and IQ measures of "real" second, fourth, and sixth grade students. No sign function was found.
