Abstract

The structural components of information technology and software tools for calculating gradient characteristics of the global ocean surface based on satellite data are considered. The examples of calculation of the global ocean surface gradient fieldsusing information technology and software tools based on satellite data are submitted. A spatial-temporal averaging of gradients in accordance with scales of hydrophysical processes is discussed. The problems of spatial-temporal scaling and averaging of computed regions of the global ocean are considered.
