Abstract
This article will expose the genetic elements involved in breast cancer both at the somatic level (in the cells of the mammary gland) and at the germinal level (inherited mutations, present in all the cells of the body that predispose to breast cancer), the elements available in clinical practice to apply this knowledge and an outline of the advances that are to come in the coming years to advance in the personalized treatment of the different genetic alterations present in breast cancer.
