Abstract
As the number of online acute care pediatric nurse practitioner programs increases, exploration of creative methods to enhance scholarly engagement and develop a professional network among students is imperative. This report describes the use of the Twitter platform to connect students and faculty from 4 acute care pediatric nurse practitioner programs through an online journal club. Student evaluation of this assignment demonstrated attainment of learning objectives and a positive assessment of this novel andragogical approach. Social media platforms can be used to enhance networking and scholarly collaboration. Expansion to include additional schools and topics is planned.
