Abstract

Few studies have investigated the effect of steroids on idiopathic sudden hearing loss (ISHL). Recently, Wilson, et al., reported a double blind study demonstrating a statistically significant improvement of hearing using steroids in ISHL. This report, fashioned after the Wilson study, confirms his findings and analyzes the relationship of several factors to the probability of hearing recovery.© The American Laryngological, Rhinological and Otological Society, Inc.
