Abstract
Studies of highly charged ion interactions with KBr(001) surfaces will be presented in the regime of high fluences (up to 1014 cm-2) and high potential energies (approx 70 keV). Dependent on experimental conditions the depth of the created nanostructures changes and can be explained by defect mediated desorption. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
