The Community Based Fishery Management (CBFM) project provided.fishery training and credit support to the poor fishers in Bangladesh in order to uplift their living-standard. The prime objective of the study was to assess the impact of training on the household income of the fishers. Using simple random sampling technique, 207 households (engaged in fishery activities) were selected as sample. Weighted Least Square technique was used to assess the impact of training on the household income. The study shows that training, family size and possession of fishery equipments were the key determining factors for household income.
