ESTIMATING LAKE EVAPORATION WITH FLOATING EVAPORIMETERS AND WITH WATER BUDGET.

Abstract

A short review of the four lake evaporation research projects in Finland is given. Three of the lakes studied are situated in southern Finland and one in the north. One of the lakes is deep in Finnish terms and the rest are shallow. The methods used and the results obtained in 1971-1974 are also discussed in this paper. The results are compared with those of a Class A pan station.
