Abstract

The front cover artwork is provided by the junior research group of Dr. Hollóczki at the University of Bonn. The image shows how the plastic waste, after fragmentation into nanoplastics, can affect lipid bilayers by forming a network of polymer chains that stretch throughout the hydrophobic core of the membrane.
