INDUSTRIAL ENERGY CONSERVATION.

Abstract

Increasing fuel costs and shortages of fuel and power have created a national need for conservation to slow the increasing demand for energy. In this paper reports of industrial experience with energy conservation are reviewed and the potential for industrial energy conservation is estimated. Energy conservation is treated as an important part of plant management, and the elements of an energy conservation program are discussed with reference to an energy conservation program guide recently assembled at the National Bureau of Standards.
