Abstract
In the present analysis, we have examined the effects of heat and mass transfer on the study of peristaltic transport of nanofluid in a three dimensional vertical rectangular channel. The governing equations have been made simple under the constraints of low Reynolds number and long wavelength. Under these limitations, we obtain the highly non linear, non homogeneous and coupled partial differential equations. The resulting system of equations have been solved by employing the hybrid analytical and numerical techniques. The obtained results have been discussed through tables and graphs. The expressions for velocity, temperature, nanoparticle concentration, pressure gradient and pressure rise have been plotted for two and three dimensions. In the end, the trapping phenomenon has also been considered through streamlines. © 2014 American Scientific Publishers.
