AVANCES EN LOS PROTOCOLOS DE SINCRONIZACIÓN Y SUPEROVULACIÓN DE DONADORAS DE EMBRIONES BOVINOS

Abstract

Despite the fact that research efforts in recent years have led to little or no increase in the number of transferable embryos after superovulation, the protocols that control the emergence of the follicular wave (Bo et al., 1995; 2002) and the time of ovulation (Baruselli et al., 2006; Bó et al., 2006) have allowed the treatment of groups of donors, whatever the stage of the estrous cycle in which they were and has allowed artificial insemination and the transfer of fixed-time embryos (FTAI and FTET, respectively), without the need to detect estrus. The purpose of this work is to review the attempts made for alternative treatments that improve the super-stimulatory response and the simplification of the superovulation protocols in cattle. A pesar de que los esfuerzos de investigación en los últimos años han dado lugar a poco o ningún aumento en el número de embriones transferibles después de la superovulación, los protocolos que controlan la emergencia de la onda folicular (Bo et al., 1995; 2002) y el momento de la ovulación (Baruselli et al., 2006; Bó et al., 2006) han permitido el tratamiento de grupos de donantes, sea cual fuere la etapa del ciclo estral en que se encontraban y ha permitido la inseminación artificial y la transferencia de embriones a tiempo fijo (IATF y TETF, respectivamente), sin necesidad de detectar celo. El propósito de este trabajo es revisar los intentos realizados alternativas de tratamientos que mejoren la respuesta superestimulatoria y la simplificación de los protocolos de superovulación en bovinos.
