Abstract

Ten new glycosides, icarisides A2—A4, B5—B7, E3, F1—F2 and G1, were isolated from the polar fraction of the water extract of Epimedium grandiflorum morr. var.thunbergianum (miq.) nakai, together with three known glycosides, phenethyl glucoside, (Z)-3-hexenyl glucoside and blumenol C glucoside. Their structures were established on the basis of chemical evidence and spectral data. © 1988, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan. All rights reserved.
