Abstract
We report first to date 'green' metalorganic-free synthesis of colloidal GaSe nanocrystals. Structure and optical properties of gallium selenide nanocrystals dispersed in oleylamine are discusses in respect to that conventionally prepared in alkylphosphonic solutions. We explore the organization of the particles into nanowires and propose appropriate growth mechanism. © 2011 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
