Abstract

We have constructed a genomic P1 artificial chromosome library from the zebrafish. The library has been arrayed and archived in two hundred seventy- one 384 well microtiter dishes. It encompasses four to five genome equivalents with an average insert size of ~115 kb and is readily accessible to the scientific community. The library has been used by numerous investigators in the community and shown to be a useful reagent for chromosomal walking and positional cloning.
