Abstract

A new class of bis heterocycles - sulfone linked pyrazolyl oxadiazoles and thiadiazoles were developed from Z-styrylsulfonylacetic acid. The pyrazolyl thiadiazoles exhibited excellent antimicrobial activity whereas pyrazolyl oxadiazoles displayed good antioxidant activity. © 2009 Pharmaceutical Society of Japan.
