Abstract

Recent studies confirm that one size of asthma management does not fit all and that patients differ in their patterns of inflammation and responses to therapy. This article discusses how measuring biomarkers can allow clinicians to tailor treatment effectively, and how research on the relationship between parasites and the immune system is providing insights into potential new therapies.
