Abstract

o-Iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX), a readily available hypervalent iodine (V) reagent, was found to be highly effective in synthesis of quinoxaline derivatives, from 1,2-diketones and ophenylenediamines at room temperature in very high yields. ©ARKAT.
