Keanekaragaman Plankton di Perairan Pelabuhan Biringkassi

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the density and diversity of plankton species found in Biringkassi Port Pangkajene Islands Regency. The method used is the purposive stasiun method, stasiun is carried out at four stations. The object of this research is all plankton species found in the research area. Descriptive data analysis in the form of tables and figures. The results showed that of the 29 species of plankton found, the density of plankton at Biringkassi Harbor was 368 ind/ml. The species that dominate the phytoplankton group are Chaetoceros sp species, while the zooplankton group is dominated by the Nauplius species. The results of the analysis of the diversity index at Biringkassi Harbor show diversity in low and medium categories.
