Abstract
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2022, a preliminary investigation conducted in 2022 during the COVID-19 pandemic revealed a rise in untreated anxiety symptoms among young people residing in the rural regions of Bali’s rural regions. Consequently, treatments that teach skills to mitigate anxiety symptoms are necessary. Brief-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (B-CBT) is the preferred treatment for anxiety disorders. The objective of this study was to develop a mobile app-based on brief cognitive behavioral therapy (MB-CBT) for young adults living in rural areas of Bali, with the goal of assisting them in managing and reducing anxiety. The MB-CBT was designed as a highly accurate model. The feasibility and usability of the prototype of MB-CBT were tested using a mixed methods approach. The System Usability Score (SUS) analyses relied on the utilized the computed SUS score, which ranged varied from 0 to 100. The usage of MB-CBT test was used assessed with the GAD-7 and the PSS. The content validation test was assessed with semi-structured interview.MB-CBT significantly reduced stress and anxiety in participants (p£.00), with high community acceptance in category good (SUS score was 74.5) and with content validity test in very good level. Our findings suggest recommendations for healthcare providers to develop and carry out MB-CBT to treat anxiety in young adults in rural areas of Bali’ rural areas.
