Abstract

In the article “Single-cell analysis reveals different age-related somatic mutation profiles between stem and differentiated cells in human liver,” as a result of a mix-up between the single cells and the bulk controls, the authors erroneously claimed four outlier cells. Upon reanalysis, the authors have concluded that there are no real outliers. Additional mutations thought to be bona fide de novo somatic mutations were SNPs due to the wrong bulk control. The main text, Figs. 1-2, supplementary material, and tables S2-5 have been updated.
