Abstract

A long term follow up of 1129 children with nocturnal enuresis, not treated by the electric alarm, showed that the annual spontaneous cure rate between 5 and 9 yr of age was 14%, between 10 and 14 yr 16%, and between 15 and 19 yr 16%. 33 patients (3%) were still wetting after 20 years. Organic cause for enuresis and the ineffectiveness of drug therapy are discussed.
