Abstract

Genus Alternaria is widely distributed fungus isolated from many plants among which Alternaria alternate that has a wide range of metabolites which possess a great variety of biological activities as being anticancer, antioxidants, antimicrobial. This review will highlight the structurally different secondary metabolites reported from A. alternate species including its host specific metabolites, their function, and their bioactivity.
