Propuesta de trabajo colaborativo en línea para el rediseño de un Plan de Estudios

Abstract

El programa de Ingeniería en Redes (IR) de la Universidad de Quintana Roo (UQROO) inició el proceso de actualización de su plan a principios del año 2020 mediante trabajo colaborativo presencial entre los profesores que conforman la academia de Ingeniería en Redes; sin embargo, ante la contingencia derivada del COVID-19, los miembros del programa educativo tuvieron que adaptarse al cambio de paradigma de colaboración en línea, implicando un impacto significativo en cuanto a su metodología de organización. Así, el nuevo proceso de colaboración en línea consistió en el uso de las herramientas ofrecidas por la Universidad como Microsoft Teams, Planner, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook y Office 365. En este sentido, el presente artículo describe la metodología de trabajo colaborativo no presencial para diseñar la reestructuración del nuevo plan de la IR de la UQROO. Hasta el momento se tienen avances significativos en cuanto a su actualización, teniendo la posibilidad de ser presentado ante el H. Consejo Universitario para su aprobación. The B.S. in Network Engineering (NE) is one of the educational degrees offered at the University of Quintana Roo (UQROO). In the early 2020s, faculty in the Network Engineering Department at UQROO began revising and redesigning the curriculum through face-to-face collaborative meetings. However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, faculty members were obligated to shift paradigm, transitioning to work under an online collaborative mode. This had significant impact on their use of organizational strategies and methodology. For instance, the new online collaborative paradigm consisted of using tool offered by institutional technology license (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Planner, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook and Office 365). This paper describes the online collaborative work methodology used to revise and redesign the new curriculum for the B.S. in Network Engineering. This methodology has allowed for obtaining significant progress in the proposal, pending the approval of the Honorable University Council (HCU).
