Abstract

The purpose of this study is to look at the relationship/correlation between social capital and welfare of migrant workers/traders who are the informal sector in the flood area of the eastern canal (BKT) of Jakarta. Migrant workers/traders who act as objects of research/respondents in urban areas in the informal sector are able to survive to improve their welfare through the support of their social capital where group and network, trust and solidarity are sub dimensions of social capital variables that influence research. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between social capital and the welfare of migrant workers/traders.
