Abstract
The need for a more sophisticated approach in relation to the corporate merger management process is highlighted. The introduction of the merger-mix approach offers a foundation for the effective management of some of the key issues facing senior managers in both organizations during a merger. All elements comprising the merger-mix need to be in harmony with each other in recognition of the fact that at various times in the merger process, different elements will provide the counterpoint. Finally, confirmation is given that management time and attention to best practice in corporate identity and corporate identity and communication increases the chance of a successful merger of acquisition.
