Abstract

COPD is a non-communicable disease of the respiratory tract with signs of shortness of breath and decreased oxygen saturation values. Nursing management is provided to increase oxygen saturation values ​​by positioning, oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, and breathing exercises. The breathing exercise given is deep breathing relaxation, which is a form of nursing care that can increase the supply of oxygen throughout the body. This community service activity aims to increase partners' knowledge and skills in deep breathing relaxation techniques. The method used is counseling and demonstration of deep breathing relaxation techniques. The results of this activity increased the understanding and skills of Kubucepatn Village residents regarding COPD and deep breathing relaxation techniques. The average knowledge of participants before counseling was 78%, while after counseling it increased to 95%. Villagers' skills regarding deep breathing relaxation techniques increased from 60% to 85%.
