Abstract

The 5th annual Bone and The Oncologist New Updates (bonus 5) conference, held at the National Arts Center, Ottawa, April 8-9, 2010, focused on innovative research into the mechanisms and consequences of increased bone turnover in the benign and metastatic settings alike. This year there was also a debate over the controversial use of bisphosphonates as an adjuvant treatment in patients with early-stage breast cancer. This meeting report highlights a few of the topics presented.©2010 Multimed Inc.
