Abstract

This chapter explores the intersectional relationship between epidemiology and neurosurgery as it relates to translational research. As neurosurgical practice and technological advancements continue to evolve, epidemiology can be used to navigate this intersectional relationship. This chapter elucidates how epidemiological methodologies can be applied to answer pivotal research questions in neurosurgery and provides examples to illustrate these concepts.
