Abstract

In another installation, "Transition Space, 1995," Kum Chi Keng used the symbol of a bird flying from one cage to another. The city has no contemporary art museum, no museum of photography, nor an architecture centre or a multicultural space worthy of the city. The gov- ernment's plan was to open bidding to give the entire proj- ect to one real estate developer who would offset the con- struction and management costs by building commercial and residential buildings.
