Abstract
Hydraulic properties of soil play an important role in determining the soil and environment quality and capability of the soil to serve the ecosystem. This chapter describes the effect of warming climate on important soil hydraulic properties such as infiltration, hydraulic conductivity, water retention, and available soil water capacity. This chapter also highlighted the various soil and crop-management factors affecting the hydraulic properties under warming climate. Besides these, the chapter also signified the role of hydraulic properties in sustainable crop production. To counteract the effects of the warming climate, some of the adaptation strategies for the management of hydraulic properties for higher crop productivity are also listed.
