Abstract

This paper presents a Smart Assistive solution for the navigation and accessibility needs of visually impaired people. Using advances in inexpensive location mapping through GPS and navigation through various open source mapping platforms, real time assistive navigation is possible for visually impaired people. This paper also presents a solution for sensing the surroundings through a naive technology called ‘Bluetooth Low Energy’ to relay short messages about the surroundings.
